Pros
NBH is a great place to work for anyone who is motivated to succeed. The company values meritocracy, so associates are recognized and rewarded for their hard work. The other benefits of working in banking are also present: flexible scheduling, holidays off, banker's hours, etc. Working in the corporate office, salaries are competitive, and associates are invested in each other's success. Unlike other banks I have worked for, the office has a casual atmosphere. Managers have an open door policy, and engage personally with their direct reports on a daily basis.
Cons
NBH struggles with some of the same issues other midsized banks encounter. Primarily, high turnover in client facing positions, but efforts are being made to improve associate engagement and provide additional opportunities for individual growth and career development.
