Pros

Didn't lay anyone off during last lockout, though we did go to four-day work weeks. Good benefits. Growth varies, some departments faster than others. Money par for the course in an industry everybody wants to work in, you won't get rich.

Cons

Again, depends on the department. Some are very set in their structures and don't have much advancement opportunity, others are turning over constantly and providing talent for the rest of the office. Get in with the right one and you're good. Otherwise not for the ambitious.

Pros

Exposure to so many different types of businesses and travel. Many passionate people. Travel opportunities. COO John Collins is hyper driven and hyper successful, kind of guy to learn from.

Cons

Company culture derived from Counselor Bettman, who gives no one the warm fuzzies. Arcane HR and professional development culture. Terrible HR department, in fact. Two companies - new, digital media thinkers; old "hockey league" mentality.

Pros

Working with my fellow co-workers at the NHL has been wonderful. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable, it makes it very easy to come to work everyday.

Cons

The communication from management really needs to be improved
