Very Happy Long Term Associate!

Pros

NIBCO is the best! They truly care about their associates. Those who work hard are recognized and rewarded. The extra events throughout the year are fun - I don't think there are other companies in this area that offer anything like this. My company stock continues to go up year after year - can't complain about that. Upper Management shares the company financials with the entire organization so we always know where the company stands. Do other companies do that? I am very proud to say I work for NIBCO and it is a great place to work. I hope to continue to work there until the day I retire!

Cons

It is unfortunate the way some people view upper management. Changes have to be made from that level and not everyone may agree with the change but it's for the company's best interest. That is why NIBCO has been so successful - especially in the past recent economy when so many other companies have struggled.

What a nightmare

Pros

Solid company. Good reputation OUTSIDE the company. Some room for advancement. Good benefits - not great but good.

Cons

It's got a heavy atmosphere to it. Everyone keeps their heads down and eyes averted. It is eerily quiet because no one wants to be noticed. Any social interaction between employees is frowned upon - I mean folks didn't even say "good morning" to each other. The place is definitely lacking enthusiasm and joy. I don't believe in a party atmosphere in a business or folks overly socializing but teamwork starts with caring for each other and that is definitely forbidden at NIBCO. I left because it was like going to a funeral every day.

Pros

Co-workers are phenomenal, people are dedicated, and the teams you work with are great.

Cons

Senior Leadership has taken the life out of the company. Benefits have declined, long term employees have been dismissed or laid off, and compensation has been reduced. The workplace culture has completely changed for the worse in the last 5 years.
