Pros

Let me think of one.... No really, it's only hard for me to say I wasted my time and neurons in this company. So no, there are no pros.

Cons

While this company is family owned, you will see lots of micromanage and office politics, and yes that can be expected everywhere, but in this company the only reason to be careful is because of what kind of family is this company owned from. The Martins, they were a very respectful family in the company, but since Mrs Martin is in charge of the HR department and everything else, those days are gone. I have known different customers that buy from them and they are aware of what's really happening in the WHQ grounds. Please be smart, read all reviews and decide. These are reviews written by former employees and anonymous current ones. What's going on in this company is a little dictatorship run by the CPO - Chief People Officer. New employees have to mandatory watch a video on ethics. You will see her just talking about her experience and the feedback is that she's talking a little high. With a tone that is very uncomfortable to the receptors. Check all other reviews with more than 4 stars. Read carefully..that's her voice. No one is as happy as described.

Pros

Paycheck and friends. Location. Nice building.

Cons

I have worked at NIBCO over 20 years and have seen the downward spiral when the CPO entered the picture personally. Success here has nothing to do with busting your butt or hard work. It has to do with how much you bow down to the "leader". She wants all requests and questions answered with "Yes, I'd love to". The ever changing HR teams just works to fulfill her unethical requests. And don't get sick or you are out of there for being a burden on the health insurance. I am a sad witness to so many acts of cruelty. I am too old to change jobs so I just keep my head down. Don't believe the positive reviews. They are forced. If the CPO only knew her most trusted top people dislike her and talk behind her back........well she would just fire them and buy new ones.

Pros

There are some good people who work at NIBCO, many of them long term employees; however, one person's nastiness and power outweighs all of the goodness and makes this place a terrible place to work.

Cons

Read the reviews on this site carefully. All of the reviews that are critical of senior management, especially the Chief People Officer or CPO which is the equivalent of a Vice President of Human Resources, are all true. NIBCO has a very unhealthy work environment, and employee morale is extremely low. The Chairman/CEO stepped away from the daily operations of the company years ago and appointed his wife to be the CPO despite the fact that she has absolutely no HR experience, no business experience and has no clue how to deal with people in general much less employees of the company. Every day that passes, the CPO gets more power hungry. She basically runs the company now, controlling every move of the company's president, vice presidents and even the head company attorney, making them powerless because they are afraid to stand up to her, even though doing so would be in the best interest of the company. The CPO does not follow company policies and fires people without reason or warning, just because she does not like them or because they are costing the company money for medical or other benefits. If you are old, sick or have sick family members, watch out because it seems that these are the type of people that she does not like and looks to fire. Nobody wants to work for the CPO, just look at the HR department that she runs, the HR Director quit and there is no corporate HR manager currently at the company's corporate office. NIBCO was once a good company and I was once proud to work there. Now it is a company that has no ethics whatsoever in how it conducts its business. The senior executives have sold their souls for the almighty dollar and have lost touch with what ethics and morals they may have once had. This is not an employee friendly company. Don't be fooled into working for this company. The only happy employees at NIBCO are former employees. Read these reviews carefully and find former employees on Linkedin or other sites and ask them about their experience at NIBCO and their thoughts on the CPO and the HR department. If you do interview with this company, ask about the CPO and HR department in your interviews. This is not a company you want to work for.
