      I have wasted 9 years in NIIT .Best Company if dont want Career growth.

      Pros

      1. You will never get fired until you asked for salary growth. 2. You will get designation change (Only designation not salary) , if you know to buttering to your supervisor. 3. You will be rewarded every year if you know how to write mail to praise your boss.

      Cons

      School learning solution is the worst department.. and its product.. "Jisne laga dala... life jhingalala..." 1. No reward or recognition for smart work and excessive dedication. 2. Never join if your profile have travelling/touring. NIIT will allow travelling only after Working Hrs.. means 9 to 6 Office work then overnight journey then complete your work in a day at remote location ..again overnight journey and join office very next day at 9 AM. 3. HR has minimum involvement or personal support to the employees. 4. If you achieved more then 100% of your targets you will get increment of 10% of basic which would be Max. 400-1000 Rs. 5. For general employees, the annual salary raises are less than the inflation rate of the country

      * You get some experience (not necessarily in the job you were hired for, but in some job that may be kinda related to it) * You get a paycheque (unless they mess up the system, which happens once every three months) * You get the privilege of working insane hours of overtime without getting paid for them * You get to experience ancient slavery and third-world exploitation without having to timetravel for them

      Cons

      Cruelty and ignorance dance hand in hand in this place. Management openly takes pride in making decisions without having any understanding of the work that production employees content developers instructional designers etc. are doing. Working 10-20 hours of unpaid overtime/week in non-management positions is minimum requirement; if you complain they tell you you should be happy to have a job at all. Guidelines and requirements and templates change every day of every month of every year. Turnover at this wretched place averages 50%/year in Canada across all levels and jobs. Management has regular screaming matches over employees heads in Hindi (so they wouldn't understand) and have nervous breakdowns in front of entire office (3 in a year). Labor regulations are routinely violated. This place makes ancient slave galley ships look like luxury resorts. Don't walk, RUN. Away from them.

      Great concept, atrocious onboarding

      Great company history, great customer portfolio

      Cons

      Not sure how they have stayed afloat this long. Abysmal onboarding- you are not being set up for success. None of the processes work, starting from salary to expense claims to holiday allowance. Everything needs to be chased several times before it is right.

Efforts are currently underway to automate a number of the on boarding processes which include system update’s on the existing employee portal and a number of improvements have already been made including orientation video tutorials on processes such as submitting expense claims, booking leave, processing of benefits etc. We endeavor to make the on boarding of new staff as efficient as possible and welcome staff feedback direct to your manager or the HR team.
