Pros

Friendly atmosphere, talented programmers. Free coffee and mineral water. Team buildings, all employee meetings once a year. Nice office with free parking, regular bonuses.

Cons

Quality assurance is highly unprofessional. No metrics, missing competences. Aggressive leaders without leading skills. Mgmt is busy with increasing their power using political influence, leading to total mess in the company. Constant warfare in management, CEO seems unable to stop. Salaries are under average. Too many custom technologies slowing down development, huge tech debt makes developments cost more and more.

Pros

People, environment, could be good for short term in a development group

Cons

No vision, no long term strategy, leaders has no mission. Most of the managers have grown up within this company without the knowledge how to manage a company in a multinational environment. The Business units are like separated islands, could be good or bad to work within this teams.

Pros

- interesting product - the company was willing to take the steps needed to improve production quality, and many of those were already in progress - "can do" attitude, well... many of the coworkers had that - helpful colleagues - a performance appraisal with the line manager every six months. it wasn't much, but at least there was. - work environment: small rooms and not an open space office - there's bonus payments twice a year - company events were quite good (christmas party, family day, stuff meeting)

Cons

- salary was not and is not as competitive as would have thought and what the company could afford - employee fluctuation was an apparent problem - no extra payment for doing overtime. except there was an occasion when they did pay for it to some select employees which was unfair on the others. - occasional work at weekends and holidays was required (at least it was payed for) - lack of documentation, testing, processes and planning - there was a tendency among employees to blame the customer - using old or out-dated tools like c++98, svn, vs2005 - lack of diversity, lack of multi-culturalism, occasional sexism from direct colleagues - work environment: small rooms are often crowded, there's not enough air to breath - the bonus, as communicated by management, is based on your personal performance solely and there's no guaranteed part of it for example based on overall company performance. - no benefits during the probation period of three months which I found unusual
