      National Oilwell management- Unprofessional, hostile work environment with business politics at its worst.

      Pros

      Benefits are comparable to most large companies.

      Cons

      Management needs some restructuring, good old boy attitude needs to outsourced and new way to thinking should replace current business practice. Office politics at its worse, racism, crude, vulgar language need to be eradicated. Antiquated applications need to hit the door as well.

      Pros

      Stability, the work is not challenging but you should be able to do what is assigned to you without much concern with making mistakes that will be held against you.

      Cons

      Because the work is not very challenging and some times there is not a lot of work to go around people tend to hoard the good work when they can find it. The processes that controls the engineering to manufacturing communication needs to be tightened so that NOV as a whole has a better understanding about what exactly was built and the problems associated with each build.

      Pros

      Knowledgeable employees. great product line. Great people to work with. There is alot of knowledge through-out our company. Alot of people i have worked with through-out NOV has basically dedicated their lives to this work. Everything is NOV strong and thats because we believe in our product and support that we supply to our customers. Our customers are pleased with the work we do as well as the support after the job is done. I want to stay with this company and continue to grow along with it.

      Cons

      Compensation, health care options, These areas could be better. there should be more options on what you can choose from.
