Stepping Stone

Pros

Company gives you an opportunity to learn complex systems. Extremely fast paced with a huge focus on getting the job done. Advancement is clear, but limited. The company is a great stepping stone to a company that pays more.

Cons

Not enough compensation to keep skilled employees around. Employees hire on fresh out of college for 2-3 years then move to Houston for a 30%+ pay increase.

Pros

1. Benefits are great 2. Most people are good people 3. Flexible hours 4. Plenty of work and then some 5. True to their bonus structure

Cons

1. You need to know someone in upper management to hang around 2. Don't reimburse school as said, even for experienced individuals continuing their knowledge 3. A lot of fresh faces straight out of school without experience, which makes adhering to any processes difficult 4. Constant state of flux and change to structure, sometimes people would start a new position and receive a project only to leave the position quickly and the project is passed down. Unable to be completed 5. Typical corporate environment even though it is masked. If it is time to make cuts, it is everyone for themselves except for the uppers and their friends
