Business Outlook
Pros
Good base pay for most people, great benefits, very strong talent management and development resources. Big company with small company feel to it. Strategy of acquisitions has made it a major player in oil and gas manufacturing equipment and services
Cons
It is oil and gas and cyclical in nature. It seems to be a lot of little to medium size companies instead of one large company. This could be seen as a pro though:) But this is changing under new leadership, and NOV corporate is getting stronger and more efficient and using the cyclical nature of the business wisely to affect changes. I don't expect this to be a "con" much longer.
