Pros

A lot of creativity in one place from journalism and music. Like any place, your experience really depends on your boss and team, but we have incredible journalists that care deeply about their work for the public and a CEO willing to take risks for the betterment of the whole organization as well as people of color.

Cons

There are departments that get priority and attention more then others, but something I believe leadership is working on.

Pros

Strong hires and wonderful coworkers. Great culture and increasingly inclusive. Family benefits are also improving and very competitive. Good retirement options. Satisfactory union involvement.

Cons

Rapidly changing and convoluted employee resource systems, software, and data input (payroll, goals/reviews, expense reporting, employee survey, and IT support/trouble tickets). Lack of advancement and training opportunities that are on the clock or across departments. Numerous communications that are challenging to glean useful information relevant to the employee.
