Pros

You get to work with some of the best people in the business.

Cons

If you're a temp/contract worker, it can be stressful. I'm glad they're taking steps to hire some of their permatemps.

Pros

The team at NPR is amazingly supportive and friendly. Managers are mostly on your side and want to see you succeed. Amazing work/life balance and low stress environment. Everyone believes in the mission of the organization.

Cons

Upward mobility is tough. Kind of a bureaucracy. Benefits not great, pay could be better.
