Aging dinosaur of a company

Pros

Offices are pretty nice and its a great industry to be part of. Looks like women are given meaningful roles at the company. The company is basically build around paper survey and are switching gears to electronic surveys

Cons

Talent pool is poor, and the engineering leadership is subpar. Lots of politics and lack of alignment across the company. Very dog eat dog. Diversity at the company is incredibly low, and minorities don't get opportunities for advancement. Since the company is so far behind on the state of the art, working here an employee does a disservice to themselves. Majority of the product is a set of SQL Server instances that are glued together. Almost everything is legacy and the subject matter experts on the products have long since left.

Work culture down the drain and leadership is so bad now

Pros

Some good people and friends can be made.

Cons

Leadership no longer listens to employees. Work-life balance is down the drain. Top employees quitting left and right. Those top performers that remain are overworked to make up for slackers. Multiple people have started seeking therapy due to the stress of the job and the toll it’s taken on mental and emotional health. There is also no real diversity in leadership and they don’t have any plans to keep up with the times.

Ambitious/needed real-time product that isn’t remotely scalable for client needs

Pros

Flexible hours Downtown location Dedicated associates that kill themselves to meet needs with a product that simply doesn’t deliver

Cons

Shift to real-time patient outreach excellent in theory but very poorly executed. Current software/ hacked together structure simply cannot handle the client/outreach load that it needs to. Leads to sales selling (in good faith) “real-time same day outreach” that our current system can’t deliver on. Detailed complaints/data points to support issues above seem to fall on deaf ears until a big enough client becomes fed up.
