Pros
At the NRG Gladstone PowerStation the community and workplace culture is very positive. There's much to be said in terms of enjoyment of workload, especially so for relationship with colleagues. I'd highly recommend working here given the opportunity.
Cons
The structure of the organization is ambiguous. In terms of clear job titles and understanding of roles, more simply do 'their part'. Being that the turnover is <5%, much of the workforce has been around for 20+ years. And with managerial turnover, employees have been forced to fulfil leadership gaps over the years. So the best of GPS does much more than what is required, albeit none of this is well documented. As a result, introduction to a role here can be challenging as no handover is thorough enough to detail all the unspoken responsibility. In short, it takes time to build momentum when starting here. Fortunately the teams are very supportive and understanding of this.
