Pros

Very few pros left in a firm that is a shell of what it once was. Junior and mid-level staff are an asset even though they are unappreciated.

Cons

Ownership and senior management don't understand that their people (their skills and reputation) are the only assets a consultant engineering firm has. No investment being made for the long term. Cost cutting seen as key to financial success. No idea how to win work and raise revenue. Firm went public in name only as Dickerson Wright still holds a majority of shares and retains complete and unchallenged control. Presents fire-side acquisitions bought on the cheap as a business strategy to staff and the markets.

you get paid. some of the projects are interesting.

Cons

company is changing due to recent changes in ownership and going public. Always told about how things affect the profitability of the company. Company is trying to cut costs at the expense of worker satisfaction.
