Pros

I have been at NVIDIA a very long time. I've seen the company grow very aggressively. They have the fortitude to continue doing that even though they are currently stumbling. Typically hire "the best" Intellectual Honesty Generally good culture Benefits seem decent Stock options (now restricted stock) for a large portion of the company CEO is very dynamic and a thoughtful engineer and businessman. Very charismatic. Generally good at retaining people Projects are technically challenging Do more with less.

Cons

The company has fallen from grace. They are no longer a leader. Jensen has a push into areas that I don't see as a major source of revenue and meanwhile AMD/ATI is executing very well and undercutting NVIDIA on price and nearly equaling performance. They are trying to change things but the company thinks it is small but is no longer small. It takes an enormous amount of work to change the way they do things and it is just not happening that quickly. They continue to portray a positive attitude and the continuous "work harder" mantra in company meetings but people are doing that. As others have said, I think they have lost touch with employees as well and constantly try to convince themselves that their course of action is right. Some of the aggressiveness with schedule shows they are a little out of touch with employees (who know when it is realistic and not). Do more with less is not a good thing always - it used to be. Other companies are probably more organized. NVIDIA still tries to run itself lean and mean but there is nothing left to trim and people are getting burned out.

Pros

Industry still ranks NVIDIA highly on resume

Cons

Majority of company hasn't seen a pay increase or bonus in 3 years. Instead, pay-cuts and removal of multiple employee incentives. Senior Execs have no clue on products being made and only remain in position because CEO is loyal to a fault. No career advancement, no compensation for exceptional achievements, and a pipeline of inferior products. Absolutely insane product schedules that get missed by several months seem to be a regular situation with products despite input from engineering giving ample notice and feedback to avoid in the future. Senior Execs stick head in sand and pretend nothing is wrong. If you're the one bringing up issues or highlighting a fault with a product, you get heckled despite company claims of valuing "intellectual honesty". NVDA still thinks it is a startup and runs accordingly. At the current size, that means total chaos with the occasional "lucky product" that saves the day.
