Pros

Great engineers. Good working conditions if you ignored the impossible schedules . Flexible work hours and work from home.

Cons

When NXP acquired and integrated Freescale the CEO painted a bright picture of a powerhouse combined company. He did not say hundreds of Freescale engineers would be cut as they exited business segments to achieve cost savings target. More cuts seem to be in the future. Jobs in the United States seem to be the target. They closed a design center in Israel too....

Pros

Pays pretty well. Job isn't very stressful. Manager is really flexible.

Cons

We don't have a clear direction. Information isn't disseminated very well. We are always understaffed and don't have enough people to do a good job on all of products. Finding internal documentation is impossible because we have too much and it's not organized.
