Pros

Harvey Nash works closely with some big tech companies, that's cool. Maybe you can have a cool opportunity somewhere.

Cons

Being unfamiliar with the outsourcing reality not all the contract details (benefits, contract renewal, etc) were made clear for me at the very beginning.

Pros

Brand name looks good on CV. Charasmatic CEO and European MD. Recognisable brand name, especially in leadership.

Cons

- No training whatsoever. - Clear favourtism of staff members by directors and senior staff - Junior staff are either groomed for success if their face fits, or left to rot then turfed out at the earliest possible opportunity. - Systems crash leaving staff unable to work at least one day a week. - No Direction from senior staff. - (some) Regional managers sit and watch youtube instead of billing and contributing to the office. - People who handed in resignations were refered to as 'judas'. - No verticles at all - everybody scraping around for roles and candidates. - Database is a MINIMUM 5 years out of date. - High staff turnover. - Very low staff worth. - Director's is a 'friend's club' - people are promoted on the basis of how much the management team like them and time served rather than ability. - Very slow salaries. - Resourcers and junior consultants are exploited by senior staff as a way to get the senior staff more commission whilst rewarding the resourcers or junior consultants with next-to-nothing. - Regional Directors unable to answer any questions or make any decisions without consulting their boss. - Commission not paid when staff leave the company. - No Market Intelligence is collected. - Very poor work / life balance.

Pros

Working for a big brand looks ok on the cv although everyone knows by now that they are churning our mediocrity

Cons

Sexist lad culture Nightmare interview process with the most self important madam ever to walk the earth that was more interested in her engagement/ wedding than candidates The assessment day was a generic balloon debate in which it was easy to win over the room and showed nothing of my recruiting abilities Followed by a presentation 4 stages later where the management pretended to be bored, yawn and one even pretended to check his phone even though I had seen it run out of batter as I walked in
