Pros

The mission and value of what NGA does is outstanding. For younger, new employees there are lots of great opportunities.

Cons

The career management system is absolutely awful for mid to late career people. Promotion process is a complete disaster, but will likely get changed in the coming years. At times the Agency can get overly into political flavors of the day and lose focus on the mission.

Pros

Great work-life balance and benefits, casual work environment, talented workforce

Cons

Much of management is very bureaucratic and resistant to change Strong lack of diversity among leadership Lack of discipline for consistent underperformers Since I've worked here, more and more of my duties have been delegated to contractors
