Pros

Salary and benefits are competitive

Cons

Not really police, and have no real authority. Requires an annual physical ability test with constantly changing rules. Policies change weekly. Command staff are mostly Air Force or military and have never performed commissioned police work. Most promote their friends and military colleagues ahead of actual workers.

Limited opportunities unless you are in certain career path. Promotion process sucks. Beware of retaliation from management. People are far from reality in term of technology
