Pros

The company overall has a great culture and mission. Work life balance and diversity are alive and well at National Grid, especially in their UK businesses. Compensation is aligned with other Boston area Global companies.

Cons

Global security has frequent restructures and layoffs. I would avoid taking a role in this part of the organization if you are looking for longevity and job security. Their redundancy process is poorly planned and executed… waiting to hear if you have a position and the lack of useable support from HR when you don’t. Senior leadership avoid the hard conversations and make false promises. A weak Global CISO and egocentric senior leader in the US contribute to the lack of employee engagement and compounds the issues.
