Pros

Lot of great people working at grid. Overall a decent place to work. Pros are the flexibility you get working here with wfh and good management team. The CTO is a great guy and he has picked a good team under him that is making some great progress in dropping tech debt and bringing us into the future. Still a good amount of outsourcing but we are making steady progress in dropping it down to a reasonable level.

Cons

Only downside in the company is the constant obsession with “going green” and diversity hiring policies …. Let’s focus on keeping costs down for our customers and the grid up and running through new technology and the leave the silly carbon footprint conversations and excessive diversity quotas to the political hacks.

Pros

If you enter NG as a management position you can advance quickly but as a union worker it takes years

Cons

Union shop because as a partime worker you pay the fees but you can be fired anytime
