Pros

I really enjoy the team, the transparency from senior leadership and the willingness of my direct supervisor to make himself available when needed has been a welcomed change from my past employers. National grid and my direct supervisor make sure I have all the tools available to be successful in the job. The openness for interdepartmental team members to work together and offer support has been second to none. Benefits and compensation.

Cons

The few team members who seem to be resistant to change or anything that is for the betterment of the company or the team. these members are allowed to disrupt the balance and go unchecked to continue making it miserable for the rest of the team members. Some of the policy / Procedure changes that senior leadership is implementing with minimal discussion from the operations people it will directly impact. They believe it is better for the work life balance without actually understanding the needs in a particular region.

Pros

The pay and benefits are decent. There are a lot of opportunities within the company to grow your career in.

Cons

The annual pay increase should match or exceed with new hire's salaries.

Pros

I have been able to evolve through multiple roles across gas utility operations, including field work, pipeline construction, instrumentation, pressure regulation, customer-facing roles, and now leadership within Meter Lab & Testing. Very few companies allow you to explore that many paths while still building long-term stability, benefits, and institutional knowledge.

Cons

Servant leadership is praised in theory and not always rewarded in practice.
