Pros

The contract rates are good for senior roles where you bring allot of experience to the table.

Cons

IT senior management is the worst in terms of team building and leadership. When you have an introvert as CTO and the Global Head of IS Service Integration & Operations cant look anyone in the eye upon introduction or follow-up face-2-face meetings- it's most dysfunctional. Plus, Head of I&O has worst linkedIn photo- so Adam Ant from 1980's- oh no mate. IT senior management able to sell the C Level leadership team allot of BS on how best to run IT.. Step 1: outsource for 2-3 years to get cost savings Step 2: in-source after 2-3 when outsourced vendors have totally messed up your business systems Step 3: have IT Senior Mgmt blame Contracts to save their bloody selfs! Total amazing how C-Level leadership falls for this trick every time, and not just at NG.
