Overall - a great place to work

Pros

Culture and the people that work at NI are two of the best reasons to work at NI. In addition, benefits, job security, and the ability to drive your own career are big reasons that I enjoy working at NI.

Cons

Because there is such an emphasis placed on overall compensation, which the company does very well at, salaries alone are not the highest in industry. They are still good, but if you're looking to get the absolute highest salary you can get, you'll probably have to look else where.

Pros

Fun place to work (mostly). There are a few folks that don't seem to fit in and you wonder why they are there but for the most part people are smart and fun to work with. Work life balance / casual / cool projects.

Cons

two words: LOW pay. There's a general consensus of dissatisfaction with compensation amongst the rank and file. People learn to live with it and perceive they are subsidizing culture with low pay. Also - mgmt needs to revisit the company bonus formula.

Pros

The company culture is great! Fun, intelligent, outgoing co-workers and understanding managers. The company is understanding when it comes to time off and does not limit use of cell phones or internet browsing.

Cons

Vacation time cannot be carried over from year to year. Salaries are far too low!! No one has private offices.. all cubicles.
