      Pros

      Great training with cutting edge knowledge and experience in computer networks, cellular technologies. Good salary, benefits and job security. Be a part of global security, protect America without coming under fire, working from the security of your desk.

      Cons

      Difficult finding assignments outside of the Baltimore DC area. While there are other sites, they are limited. Also as with any federal agency, it can be somewhat bureaucratic.

      Pros

      Most people in the National Security Agency are motivated by a mission to serve the United States of American and its soldiers. Due to this motivation coworkers cooperate rather than vie for status. Add in that the NSA has many smart and talented people, and the teamwork becomes fantastic.

      Cons

      The National Security Agency is a federal bureaucracy with all the rules and limitations of such a structure. For example, despite NSA's need for cutting edge technology, most tech purchases have to go through government procurement and are often months, or even years, behind the cutting edge.
