Pros

High stress placements but staff will try to make themselves available to you, but it must be sought out.

Cons

Low pay, offers supplies, but suggests many things like games or fidgets for kids that need to be paid out of pocket and will not be reimbursed

Pros

NYAP is a great entry level job. The workers/supervisors help with the adjustment to a new job and answers all questions. I have never had an argument with any worker and everyone is there to “lift up your spirits”.

Cons

The only con is some of the crises with the children. You want to do anything you can to help the foster youth that are in trouble but sometimes it’s not enough.
