Pros

Nationwide focuses and diversity in the workforce and invests in developing its associates. The benefits and salary offered by Nationwide show the company is dedicated to the growth of its employees as the insurance industry rapidly changes. The company offers tuition reimbursement, along with paid time off for both parents for births and adoptions, to name a few of the great things there is to offer. In addition to the employee benefits, the company is investing in its strategy and technology to ensure that our customers needs from insurance to financial are covered from youth through retirement years and beyond.

Cons

Nationwide has made many changes recently in its strategy and organizational structure. Although these may have seemed like cons during times of transition, they are actually a benefit to the employees and customers. With over 10 years in the company, I have little negative to say. If opportunities arise, senior leaders are quick to devote time in identifying solutions and taking action.

Going down the drain

Pros

Good team members, good learning resources.

Cons

Terrible management, saving money by treating employees cheaply just like a true corporate, no team outings, stoop low for cost cutting even though they have a strong market presence. No flexibility for working from home.
