Not bad, but not a career.

Pros

There are decent benefits and the company does fun things occasionally like a quarterly activity (usually a movie or play). They offer full medical, dental and vision and mach up to 6% plus profit sharing into your 401k. Putting in extra time on a salary position is rarely expected.

Cons

I don't know about the company's pay standards in general, but I've been underpaid here for someone in my field with my experience. I think I could have negotiated more and I wish now that I had. One thing to be aware of is that cost of living raises are rare, so negotiate high before accepting a job here. There is also little opportunity for advancement here and the corporate politics are a bit heavy.

Pros

The company is moving forward and provides stability. The people are great to work with, teams work well together and with other departments.

Cons

The company has grown and changed through the past few years. This is positive but for a few employees it has been hard adjusting to change or new demands. However, management continues to monitor this and offers ample tools to assist in the transitions.

Good people doing good things for the world.

Pros

The theme of Schwabe North America follows the trend of treating employees fairly while expecting an honest days work for an honest days pay. Many benefits that are for the good of the employee are available and time is spent listening to the needs of the employees.

Cons

It's a large company and therefore harder to get to know everyone. It requires an effort on the employee's part to reach out to others and interact on both a professional and a personal level.
