Pros

It’s an overall easy job if that’s what you’re looking for.

Cons

-healthcare plan has gone downhill (high out of pocket) -constantly blaming sales reps for not hitting goals when most of the time they’re not things us as sales reps are in control of (politics, economy, etc) -things take forever to ship and you don’t get paid until the item(s) ship. Sometimes it takes 6+ months! -minimal managerial support -no continuous training. Once you receive your 1-2 week initial training when you start they expect you to be a pro from the get-go. -unreasonably high sales goals -favoritism leading to better leads to certain reps -bonuses take 3+ months to receive in full and deferred comp takes 5 years to receive in full -metrics you have to hit are unreasonable and unfair -longevity means nothing to this employer (if anything your pay decreases the longer you’re there)

Pros

Sometimes clients are fun to talk to If you like jewelry there is discounts Nice co workers

Cons

Expected to sell items that will not be in stock for months. Dropped my pay by $6 an hour after one year. You dont get paid until its in stock. Horrible supply chain issues- company addresses it, and refuses to do anything about it. Don't try to apply for a different role internally they wont move you. The company gives away their products for free but forces the client to pay 30-50 in shipping so you get yelled at a lot. Customers expect cheap free things because of their poor advertising. Most of what I had to do ended up being customer service since returns and exchanges take 4 weeks to process. They are scamming people on over priced shipping because they can just pocket it and not pay commission. Forced to upsell people getting things for free to a 130 membership (impossible) Horribly confusing advertising in catalogs Customers often have dementia and no idea what day it is. Way too many discounts and coupons. Management can be very moody and rude.
