Pay is really low. I have a BS in Chemistry and they were paying me 13.50. I asked for 14 and they said no. Pay raise is a miniscule percent per year barely enough to cover inflation. High turnover rate because everyone is underpaid. Point system so you can get fired if you come in one minute late for a handful of days.

Horrible Oppressive environment. Promises about promotions and advancement is mostly bs. My supervisor was vindictive lazy witch who made me do her work, lied to me, took credit for my ideas, screwed with my email and sabotaged my systems. Poorly trained employees train other employees which never works out. Leadership is horrible and will be the reason this company tanks. I will be surprised if this company stays afloat much longer. Other lab employees were mutinous and ready to strike. HR makes you sign a non-competitive agreement so that when you leave you will not go work for the competition for 2 years. So if you have a priceless degree and want to work in genomics, think twice before applying here. HR does nothing relevant. Bullies who have multiple complaints filed against them still get promoted. Finding parking is a problem. Co-workers had to park in the street and that was before the parking lot got torn up. Employees are still waiting to get paid with offers from management to pay for carpooling other employees during renovations.
