Pros
Working in the Telecommunications industry is exciting and fun because it is always changing, growing more complex and interesting, and is so global.
Cons
The company has headquarters in Waltham, MA but is basically a Russian company acquired by NEC, a Japanese company. My assumption is that they wanted an American footprint, so acquired a complementary technological entity with American clients, "goodwill", and professional presence. Their management team is arrogantly old school, especially when it comes to treatment and expectations of female employees. They are so unprofessional that most of the acquired employees, though well-paid and uniformly high-performers, were happy to be laid off. Most of us have removed NetCracker from our employment histories.
