Pros

Good salary. Good time off policy. Good for people just out of college and/or people who need to move out of their parents’ house. Good for people who feel like they missed out by not working for a start-up during the dotcom boom. Good for people who like to walk around in their socks.

Cons

This company is a lot of smoke and mirrors. It portrays itself as some cutting-edge company when the reality is, it’s just another in a long line of media companies: a bunch of young, inexperienced people churning out data while upper management types fly around the country mugging around at industry events talking s*&%. The fact of the matter is, the data being churned out is dubious at best. It's inherently biased by whoever happens to be running it and whatever the account managers want it to say but because none of it can be fact-checked, they can get away with it. The bottom-line is, the company got too big (relatively speaking) too fast and the people at the wheel don’t know what to do. Their answer thus far has been to add layers and layers of bureaucracy because they think that’s what they think that's what real companies do. Every time you turn around, a new VP of something or another is being hired; they usually leave after a few months with no explanation only to be replaced by two new VPs. There’s got to be a VP for every 2-3 regular employees at this point but I guess $20M in funding doesn’t just spend itself.

Pros

Startup environment where if you're willing to work hard and make friends you'll have incredible opportunities to contribute and grow. You can really shape your client engagement and it's great opportunities for people just starting careers. Good client work, good leadership team, smart people, good benefits especially for such a start up company. You also get a good handle on what it's like to work for a product/technology focused business, not purely consultative

Cons

Analysts are typically under resourced and under staffed and not appreciated. Focus is on the product and pitching but disconnected from the immense hard work that goes into producing those client-ready results. Often the disconnect between leadership/the actual "do"ers causes quite a bit of problems with client expectations. This has high turnover and you are definitely navigating waters that don't have much precedent - some people aren't good at dealing with a job description (and team name) that changes all the time

Cons

The company is still growing and has had some growing pains as a result. Our overall direction could be clearer at times.
