Pros

It's every journalist's job to work at NYT. And there are tons of perks: access to talks from every department, the stability of a large company that is financially secure, and some truly brilliant people to work with. Sometimes you get the rush of producing something really spectacular.

Cons

It's a corporation. Sometimes you feel like a cog in a machine that will get lip service but not much more. They tried to bust the tech union which was really disheartening. I was on a small team that sometimes had an unrealistic culture around work/life balance that they carried over from former work experience.
