Pros

Exposure to and learning from some of the world's best editors and writers and opportunity to reach a large, international audience.

Cons

The NYT is a demanding organization and you are permanently on call, which can make work-life balance difficult to manage. Workplace full of hyper-talented and hyper-driven colleagues which makes for a very competitive atmosphere.
