Pros

Nice people; okay place to INITIALLY learn to originate loans. You'll take a LOT of calls, and a lot of applications, which gives you a lot of practice in taking apps and pitching loans. Their software to build a 1003 application is nice. They'll cater in lunch a couple times a month. Super casual....not really any kind of dress code. Just wear clothes. The comp is good b/c you get bps on deals (like 45 bps) but if you're in the "JMC Program" then you're getting a different pay plan for 90 days (higher base + flat amount on production). if you produce, they'll kind of stay off your back and give you a lot of leeway. If you don't, they'll be all over you.

Cons

Lots of pressure to lock loans, no matter what; some level of micromanaging, though not as bad as I've heard at other companies. ZERO work / life balance. They will work you on the weekends if your sales team's numbers aren't up to snuff. Hard to get any day off for anything. "Support" and learning is hit or miss. If you have a good manager, you're in good shape. If not, you better just figure it out. I've seen managers rip into new hires before for not knowing what they don't know.
