The chance to get a lot of experience in different roles with their TV operation, since it was essentially a "startup."

Cons

The fact that it was a startup led to austerity measures that adversely affected the quality of the programming.

Friendly colleagues, free food, good location

Cons

The company is wasting money and resources on a TV network that no one watches, while its mobile app is a catastrophe. People are moving to mobile devices, but you'd never guess that working at Newsmax. Work hours are intentionally vague to keep people on the job too long. There's no respect for employees.

Thank you for your comments. We have been working to build a stronger culture of success. Improvements in both TV and mobile are underway right now and will help improve the company as a whole. Also, the company has been able to offer cost of living pay increases for the past several years, but we are hoping to do better in the future.

great coworkers, great potential, flexible hours, free snacks, soda and water, decent benefits

Cons

micromanagement, an established company that feels very start-up like, not willing to invest in tools to make products better, not willing to take a risk on change to stay current and improve on already established services
