-Nice people -Easy job during slow periods -Looks good on a resume -Allows you to write about a multitude of topics -Helps with networking

Cons

-Editors micromanage EVERYTHING - literally down to the word or sentence -HORRIBLE communication system, hard to keep in contact with editors -No standards for stories, articles can often be held back or killed for no real reason -You are lied to and told you are doing a great job even if your bosses don't like you or your work
