The place to be NOW

Pros

We are undergoing a pivotal moment and Nextiva is transforming rapidly. If you like momentum and know how to take real ownership, then this is the place to be. There is a strong customer-first mentality. People are smart, driven and care deeply about doing things the right way. If you are motivated, proactive, and comfortable with some ambiguity, you will have opportunities to grow and make an impact quickly.

Cons

Because the company is evolving fast, things are not always perfectly defined. (Which I personally enjoy). This is not a place where you can coast or wait to be told exactly what to do. You need to be comfortable building while running and adapting as the business scales.

Pros

If you have a WE mentality, you will thrive here. If you have a YOU mentality, this probably is not the place for you. Nextiva moves fast, and staying ahead requires staying connected and collaborating constantly. I have worked at Nextiva for almost five years and have taken on roles across five different areas of the business. There were moments where it felt like a lot. I was putting in the time and often taking on more than felt manageable, and at times the expectations did not feel realistic. That comes with the territory if you are serious about growing and advancing. I do not regret it. Everything worth having is worth earning. I bring the same drive to perform at a high level today as I did when I started. Growth here does not mean coasting. It means continuing to lean in and hold yourself to a high standard. I empathize with people standing their ground and understand this environment can feel intense, but withdrawing or checking out will not move you forward. You have to stay engaged and keep doing the work. Earning your role is something you should aim to do every day. One thing I will say is that people here are extremely supportive. One of the biggest pieces of advice I give every new hire is to network. The more people you know, the more internal resources you have, and the faster you can move. Also...closed mouths do not get fed! If you have thoughts/feelings and frustrations, feel them..think them...but than make them productive..by flagging them with your manager. Especially if you feel stuck, or are itching for a shift in responsibility/growth. There are real career opportunities here if you invest in your personal development and keep evolving...and a lot of that comes from being direct in saying what you mean and vocalizing what you want. From there, they will tell you how to achieve it. Nextiva is a special place to work. Once you work here, you get it. The pace, the expectations, and the chance to grow alongside people who care. The grass is not greener on the other side...believe me, I've seen so many people go and come back. For what, a little more money? Our competitors dont even come close to providing what we do..our office is stunning, the benefits (HSA, 401K match) rocks, and we even get catered (WHOLE FOODS/healthy) meals twice a week.

Cons

One honest con is that organizational shifts can happen quickly, and clarity does not always come immediately. Whether it is changes in structure, priorities, compensation, it can take time for things to fully settle. That lack of immediate clarity can be frustrating. That said, when changes are finalized, they do happen. It requires patience, adaptability, and the ability to stay focused while things are evolving.
