Pros

- Company morale is pretty strong, although a lot of times artificially inflated. - Product is generally pretty good. Works well for a lot of clients. When things do break, tech support always comes to the rescue. -You can almost always find free food somewhere. - Your peers will go far out of their way to help you learn and grow. - Its really easy to get time off. Just request it in Paycom and if you have the PTO it will be approved.

Cons

- Pay is low, you can work for a competitor for a 50% increase in your salary. - Upper management is like a high school clique. Barely give you the time of day if you have any questions. Your manager will always have something going on that is more important than helping you. (like shopping for shoes online, or discussing golf with the boys, or complaining about their love life) -General lack of professionalism throughout the company. - NOTHING at this company is linear. Things change rapidly and there is no real plan in place. They just kind of throw things against the wall and run with whatever sticks. This will not be communicated to you until long after a decision is made. -Communication between departments is terrible. Each department has their own agenda and process to get things done. No synergy at all. This is often a point of frustration for customers as they get told 3 different things from 3 different departments. - Slimy techniques of not telling the full story to customers up front. Throw customers in 3 year contract (usually oversold products that they do not need) and when they call in to remove services after paying however many hundreds of dollars per month extra they are redirected to the company's binding terms and conditions. End of story. -The level of integrity in the sales department gets increasingly lower every month. You will be told to do "whatever it takes to process a credit card" - Hard to make any money in sales anymore. When I first started there were probably 75 account executives on the floor trying to break the elusive "$200k new revenue" goal. When I left there were probably 150+ Account executives and we still couldn't hit 200k. Overall I had a good experience at Nextiva. I learned a lot about sales from my peers who were extremely supportive, however the culmination of things stated above caused me to leave for a better opportunity.

Very satisfying work

Pros

The work our team does is very interesting, engaging and challenging. I am very satisfied at the end of each working week. I have good support from my direct manager and a clear direction on how my work is building into the future vision for the business. It’s clear that the leadership are trying to build for the long term and reward those who are aligned with their vision and work mentality. It’s not a cut-throat environment like many start-ups and it’s not just for the young people who don’t have a family and other priorities in life. I’m a new Dad and still get to see my child a lot during the week – sometimes I work 50 hours but usually closer to 40-45. It balances out over time. The management communicates regularly and we’re able to get on and do our work without loads of unnecessary meetings and disruptions. This is how I personally prefer to work so this is ideal for me.

Cons

I’ve only been working here for a few months so I don’t think it’s quite enough time to have a complaint.

Pros

My manager is really great. Super supportive and removes barriers to success as they come up. Our team is gelling really well and hitting our targets. The goals are also very clear so it’s a good environment if you’re driven and goal-oriented (which I am) maybe it wouldn’t be ideal for less driven people.

Cons

Our team has had a lot of changes. Hopefully these are done for a while so we can settle into the work.
