Terrible, Unorganized Environment

Pros

Can be a fun / start up environment at times. Market salary

Cons

Your experience here is heavily weighted on which dept you are in. Extreme internal politics. Most upper execs/ management are from Solaria or connected through other solar industries. Many upper management members are literally incompetent and are only in that position because they are long time friends. Very 1 sided. No Accountability. It does not matter if the person is wrong if they are friends with upper management. They can get away with anything and just blame others for it. Basically to get ahead in this company, you have to have known upper management for 10+ years. Lots of pointless meetings where everyone is trying to blame each other and not get to the solution of the problem. Unrealistic expectations and scope of work. Dont get me wrong, there are some wonderful people and NX. There are just plenty of bad apples that happen to be in higher positions to make everyone miserable to hide their lack of talent.

Pros

1. as someone mentioned previously, hiring freeze on ICs who do the job while hiring multiple top level staff, i.e. president, C-level etc. The company has the highest C-level and VP-level percentage among all the companies that I have ever seen in my >20 years work; one company strangely has TWO president, TWO CFO, chief product manager, chief...chief....chief..... Therefore they have meeting after meeting after meeting while no one really do the job and keep on working on the "program", 'roadmap" etc. They think they could hire someone while the salary is not competitive at all for regular employee. 2. most promotions are based on whether you have good relationship with "leaders", depend on years of you stay in the company

Cons

the solar industry overall still has 15% yoy increase
