- Terrible culture. Leaders are not interested in the well being of their people, and this is driven from the top.
- They give away holiday gifts, and then deduct taxes from your paycheck!!
- Leadership thinks it has a great culture, but the people in the trenches, especially in the St. Louis office (marketing, sales, HR, IT, Accounting) feel there is a major disconnect. long hours, little reward. Only Director and above get bonuses.
- Promotions are handed out as favors to those who "get close" to the execs, and everyone knows this to be definitely true except the leaders. You can't go to HR because it happens there also and continues to be an issue. And people are generally afraid of the legal department.
- The rumors are never-ending, and no-one is safe from this.
- New people sometimes quit within the first six months when they have to work 60 hours to keep up with the work that is handed to them especially in accounting.
- Power struggles at the director and vp level throughout the organization, and the subordinates can see it all happening. Lots of executive turnover also.
- Location is not in a great area - nowhere to go on a lunch a break.
- If you are thinking of joining Nidec, make sure you get something in writing about flex time or working hours if promised anything.
