      Pros

      Company is profitable. They're not looking to let go of people, unless you had tenure and they don't think you deserved it. If that's the case, then see ya later.

      Cons

      Status Quo was accepted 20 years ago and has not changed. Mediocre facility, lagging IT infrastructure, sales volume matters more than employee's well-being. Emerson part II with a bit more financial support from corporate and a few less employee perks. Definitely a company that will stick around, but not a place you'd want to stick around for more than a few years to gain that "experience" that everyone is looking for. No vacation for the first 52 weeks as a full time employee. Overall low morale, weak culture. Mass retirement on the rise. Knowledge vaults are all walking out the door and leaving nothing in their wake.

      Great Leadership - Impressive Growth

      Pros

      I am continuously impressed by our current CEO's leadership. Fortunately he was there to take the lead when the previous CEO left the company abruptly. We haven't looked back since. After reading the 3rd quarter business update, it was astonishing to realize the stellar performance of our company and what we have achieved in just a few short years. It was awesome to see the path we have been on summed up in a letter charged with enthusiasm and hope for the future. I'm proud to be an employee of such an impressive corporation. It was awesome to see in written words all that we have done and all in all this CEO is fair, driven and very goal-oriented.

      Cons

      It is sometimes challenging to understand the Japanese culture and their expectations. It would be nice if we had profit sharing because when we hear how wonderful we are doing and our pay is the same. I think we would be even more enthused to hit the targets out of the stadium and make more home runs if we had some vested stake in the company through some sort of profit sharing plan. We would be even more excited to work hard and keep delivering first class results.

      Great Growth Propsect!!

      Pros

      Great growth prospect with aggressive management team and HQ's willingness to invest in the motor business. CEO just sent out last quarter results, sales grew 8% and profit grew 40%. This kind of result is very rare in the current difficult market environment especially in the oil & gas, commodity and general industrial sector. Great leadership in the top management team.

      Cons

      Very demanding from Nidec HQ. Weekly reporting of sales & profit which forces the demand down to every employees. Could be quite stressful if you do not like the motor business.
