It feels heavy the minute you sit down, and you are already drained before lunch. People snap at each other like it is normal, and managers are usually the ones setting that tone. Everyone stays tense because you never know when something small will turn into a problem. If anything goes wrong, leadership blames the team instead of owning it. Asking for time off feels awkward, like you are doing something wrong. You are watched nonstop, which makes even good days feel stressful. Hitting goals does not bring much relief because it never feels secure.
