Pros

High energy, relaxed work environment. Think of it as running your own business. No one really telling you what to do but you need to hit your numbers and make dials all day long. Non stop energy. If you put the work in, have a good attitude, and are a smarty worker, you can do very well here.

Cons

A ton of dials. But you know what you're getting yourself into with this sort of sales. Don't take the job if you aren't willing to make 100+ calls a day trying to grow your book of business

Pros

The pay is really good even after the 2 pay cuts (they call them restructures...) I was making a decent amount right out of college

Cons

They do not care about you as an employee or anyone else that the company touches (I.e. customers, carriers, even other employees are readily thrown under the bus or pushed aside) I personally witnessed blatant favoritism that took money out of the pocket of one person and into another in direct conflict with their “policies” about account ownership Employees (especially sales/brokers) get a large percentage of monthly income based on last months numbers and I have seen tens of thousands of margins go unpaid to the brokers who worked the account 24-7 for over a month on a big project, after about 6 months of legal negotiations, the broker was paid about 15% of what they were due and was told that was the end of it and if they didn’t like it, they could quit. Sales was unsupported as our support staff danishes steadily over the last 6 months I was there despite our overall volume increasing and additional responsibilities and expectations were being handed down from corporate almost daily.
