Pros

Relaxed environment, had music playing in the office, and they loved going out for beer after work

Cons

This is entirely a sales job where you on on the phones most of the day making outbound calls. Either you make the right amount of sales or you are gone. Employees are expendable at Nolan Transportation.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate all current and former employees giving us areas to improve in. Sales is a fast-paced, rewarding career, but we do know the disadvantages. That is why we continue to take feedback from those on the sales floor to see how we can make sure we support our sales team. We always strive to make each and every department feel valuable with an open environment, group events, and rewarding hard work.

Pros

Work environment is fun sometimes, high energy environment Free healthcare Commission structure Beer on Fridays, lunch if your office exceeds expectations by a large margin

Cons

Incredibly high pressure. Personalized emails from the CEO if your office is not performing to his expectations. Work/life balance is not considered as you need to take care of your customers 24/7. That means calls at 4am on Saturday morning. Company culture seems more like a frat house than a professional environment. Be ready to make cold calls all day for 2 months straight when you first start

Thanks so much for giving us this feedback! We make sure our internal emails are professional and encouraging. Taking care of our customers 24/7 is one of the things that sets us apart from our competitors. We understand the work/life balance can be difficult when building relationships. However, we never want our customers to reach voicemail, and being able to talk to your customers and solve problems when they need you is something Nolan prides itself on. We will continuously look for ways to balance our customers needs and our sales team needs. We are glad that our benefits, environment, and commission structure were hitting the mark.

Pros

Great benefits..including a generous 401k ( if you make it long enough for it to matter) and health care paid 100%.

Cons

Typical logistics job. Long hours, won't fit in unless you drink yourself sick every night, play golf every weekend, or spend your time watching football. Much of your weekend time is spent being latched to your email and phone from lost drivers and pissed off customers. Management also blinds young employees with beer/games/lunches at work to hide the low pay and lack of advancement. Great work place for someone out of school just looking for experience, and not to advance in their career. NTG is making a name for itself in the transportation industry, just a negative one unfortunately. Employee beware!
