Pros

Money to made in a better market, Laid back office environment

Cons

Turnover was high from managers to ops to carrier sales and of course brokers. Basically all over the office in all departments people were getting let go and as a result morale was low.

The Chicago office recently got a new General Manager who we are super excited about! I think a lot of these concerns should improve under new leadership-- I know going through leadership changes can be hard on everyone so I'm glad to say this office is on a great path forward. Sorry this turnover lead to a poor experience for you-- We wish you the best of luck in whatever comes next for you and appreciate your feedback!

Pros

nothing. Not one thing. All of the people are d-bags. All of the management team or fsvoriteeers and lack any sort of knowledge about sales, the process, and logistics in general. idiots all of them.

Cons

NTG is a whole is con. Here are my top five cons 🤗: 1) Leadership is terrible beyond all expectations. Take 2-48 hrs to reply to simple slack message. Get upset when i take 20 min to reply cause im on the phone. still waiting for a reply to two of my messages they ignored. 2) your lead lists are crap. 3) your expectations to book 149 loads within 4 months in absurd. No one can do that. Not a person anywhere. I have been in the industry for a very long time. I have known a handful of ppl who book that much and they have been in the industry for over 10 years and have strong relationships. you can’t build a book in 4 months…….again terrible leadership. 4) They treat you like a number and give you unnecessary tasks that take up most of your day and hinder you from attacking your leads that aren’t trash. 5) your crm is so insanely disorganized that any freight broker from any company anywhere comes here to NTG to get their career ruined.

Cold calling can be tough! We try not to ever sugar-coat this. For entry-level brokerage sales jobs, we typically see a transition around 6 months - 1 year on the job where reps start to build up their books of business and can transition more bandwidth to growing their accounts and making fewer cold calls. That said, our compensation plan and office culture are designed to keep you engaged, motivated and supported throughout the process. Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience working for us and I genuinely hope you were able to use your experience to find something that aligns better with your goals. If you ever need anything, please feel free to reach out. hrteam@ntgfreight.com
