As always, the culture is dictated in large part by your specific business or group. Some are great, others.... They value their employees, up until it's time to leave, then they are absolutely brutal with the worst separation packages (if any) in the market. Though the company foster diversity, again your experience in a specific business can be different. Some of the management teams are composed exclusively of white males, and others have little to no chance in advancing. The executive team turns a blind eye, as long as profits are there.

Management is nothing but huge egos, sociopaths, and business buzzword puppets. They don't promote from within and don't promote on ability or results. You won't get rewarded for extra effort either inside the office (overtime - evenings, weekends, holidays) or outside the office (continuing education).
