Pros

The commission is good, competitive and can be high paying especially during the seasonal times. It teaches you much more about business and retail than other retail jobs. I personally loved my team of co workers. The 20% discount fluctuates higher during certain events for Nordstrom employees.

Cons

Customers can and will take advantage of you. Make sure you know your boundaries before you work, particularly with customer service- sometimes you will take the heat for something that is completely not your fault or your problem. There is also the occasional "sharker" employee who will take your sale or customer. Physically is pretty draining especially if you are going to work in shoes.
