Pros

- Treat their employees very well: Generous discounts, nice benefits package - Ethical company - Beautiful offices - Friendly co-workers - Culture of promoting from within / lots of opportunities to transfer - Best product offerings / presentation compared to competitors

Cons

- It's very subtle, but one of the unwritten rules (if you want to advance) is to "look the part"/dress like their target customer. If you're heavier, older, or aren't willing to really invest in your wardrobe, you may have a tough time fitting in. - Base pay isn't the best - Have to be aggressive/vocal to get noticed/succeed - Women employees in many departments vastly outnumber the men - Very political in who gets promotions - With a few notable exceptions, managers are not going take a lot of time to train you, much less mentor you

Pros

Upscale appearance. Respected in the industry. No large turnover in employees so your job is made easier by being surrounded by competent people.

Cons

Its retail, so you work retail hours. Yep, they return just about anything requiring you to deal with shady 'customers'.
