Cons

Extreme favoritism. Who would have thought that they promoted a bully to a management position??? If you flirt with the GM enough, you climb the ladder 10x faster than actual work ethics.

Rules are extremely easy to break meaning they let you so what you want.

Cons

Management doesn't care about the mental or physical well being of the employees. If something happens they expect you to continue to work even under a broken finger.

Good work environment, good tips

Pros

The environment is good, managers are respectful and don’t bother you if you know the menu/have good sales. Most customers are polite and order whatever you suggest, since food is good they leave happy and tip you well. Sections are 4-5 tables and on a regular weekday I would make above $200. Lunch shifts around $150. Weekend tips are way higher.

Cons

There’s a lot of sidework. Usually folding napkins, rolls, polish a rack of silverware and a rack of wine glasses, plus 2 assigned side works (stations/coffee machine/expo counter/trash/etc) then tables (sweeping/cleaning/setting up). Between sidework and waiting for the closing server to check and sign your report you spend easily two hours. Lunch sidework is usually lighter.
